The new OnionShare is out!

It adds a bunch of great features like tabs, anonymous chat that never logs anything, and better command line support.

Here's the blog post: https://micahflee.com/2021/02/onionshare-tabs-anonymous-chat-cli/

Download OnionShare 2.3 from: https://onionshare.org

Install it on a headless server:

`pip3 install --user onionshare-cli`

Read the amazing new docs that are translated to a bunch of languages: https://docs.onionshare.org/2.3/en/

@micahflee this slowly evolves into a secure ad hoc remote help desk tool and I appreciate this

@micahflee
Does the new version feature a workaround or something for this issue: https://github.com/micahflee/onionshare/issues/1269 ?

@dheadshot oh huh, I haven’t looked at this issue, but the workaround is to just paste the link, then tell them the “onionshare:$password” part separately

OnionShare 2.3 had a few bugs including anonymous chat mode was broken 😭 but don't worry, we just released OnionShare 2.3.1 and it fixes all of that!

Get it at https://onionshare.org/

@softether which thing are you trying to do?

@micahflee
Nice. Is there any solutions for the average Trisquel GNU/linux user ?

Have you ever communicate with the Loki Network project? What do you think of it?

@leonidas I have not used it

@micahflee I am trying to run OnionShare in a debian qube which has the internet routed through whonix-gw. I get an error message saying I should install tor. Is there a way to move past this? pls help
